Surviving Winter the Oily Way!
As many of you know, I am not a big fan of New York winters. Some people love the cold temperature, sweater wearing season. But not this girl!! You won’t see me sledding or skiing. I’ll take flip flops and the beach any day over drinking tea by a fire place.
My emotional state completely changes as the temperature drops. I begin to feel like a hermit and want to stay at home more often. My husband and I begin the thermostat war too. He’s lowering the temperature and two minutes later I’m raising it. Why can’t I leave the temperature set at a cozy 74 degrees all winter?
I am beyond thankful to have my essential oils and oil infused products to overcome my wintertime blah and to keep my family healthy too.
Here’s a list of my Wintertime Must Haves…
1. Thieves everything…yes I need Thieves in every corner of my house. Thieves soap by the sinks, dish soap and dishwasher soap, laundry soap, in a roll-on, and diffusing throughout the house. And the NEW Thieves cough drops, to soothe a sore throat or cough. Best way to keep everyone healthy is to toss the chemicals and Thieves up!
2. Uplifting and calming essential oils: Joy, Christmas Spirit, Peace & Calming (especially on the days it Snows!), and Lemon. I diffuse and apply them to my wrist and over my heart.
3. Supplements to maintain a strong immune system: ImmuPro, Super C, Master Formula, and NingXia Red. Inner Defense when you need extra support!
My kids are obsessed with NingXia Red. This delicious shot of awesome nutrition is my secret weapon to keeping everyone healthy.
4. Respiratory Support Essential Oils: Dorado Azul, and Eucalyptus Radiata. They are great in the diffuser and applied to the chest with a carrier oil.
Exciting news is that Young Living has made it super easy to arm ourselves with all natural products to stay healthy all winter long. They created a Winter Wellness Kit.
I look at it as my Winter Survival Kit!!! It contains the Thieves Cough Drops, ImmuPro, Super C, and Thieves Essential Oil.
What are your favorite Wintertime essential oils/products?
