Lemongrass Essential Oil from Ecuador

Young Living’s Ecuador Farm grows a large amount of Lemongrass plants to create Lemongrass Essential Oil.  Lemongrass is harvested 4 times a year. It is cut to harvest and then it grows right back without replanting.

Take a look at these amazing Lemongrass plants!

We had the opportunity to watch Lemongrass be distilled while we visited Young Living’s Ecuador Farm on November 20, 2015. We each got to sample the oil right after it was distilled. The smell of the Lemongrass is so uplifting and wonderful. While distilling all of their essential oils, the oils touch nothing except stainless steel and glass. After it is distilled, samples from each batch are taken to their on-premise laboratory to be analyzed. The Ecuador Farm has the complete Seed to Seal process in this one location!

There are many uses for Lemongrass Essential Oil. Our favorites are to diffuse for an uplifting feeling and apply to our legs to support the circulatory system. We’d love to hear from you. What’s your favorite way to use Lemongrass essential oil?

Add a few drops to the inside of the toilet paper roller and release a nice fresh scent with each pull.

This is actually on my list to purchase! My reference guide suggests that it’s beneficial for immune health, which we all need especially during the winter months. I’m going to make lozenges to use during the winter months.

I haven’t tried it yet but I’ve been told that it’s a great oil to spray on my Christmas tree! Now you may wonder why would I not use something more festive like let’s say Christmas Spirit (which I do have at home)… I have a cat who enjoys climbing my tree. I’ve been told that cats do not enjoy the scent of lemongrass and I could really use some to save my tree and ornaments this Christmas!

I like to use Lemongrass to diffuse in kitchen. I also add it to water to aid in digestive support.

I love lemongrass! It helps support the digestive system. I have used it in a body butter with grapefruit oil. Smells great! I think it helps with improving circulation which is why I put it in a body butter. It is a great oil!

I would use lemongrass to lift my familie’s spirits as we go through rough times as both my husband and I lost our jobs. Also to support me as I study for my nursing program.
