I was blessed to earn an all expense paid trip to Ecuador this year! By achieving the Gold rank for 3 consecutive months, I earned one ticket. Young Living paid for everything…from the airfare, to the hotel, meals, and activities. It was a life changing experience to visit Young Living Academy, NovaVita spa, and of course, Young Living’s farm.
First up was a day spent at Young Living Academy. Through the help of many sponsors and the D. Gary Young Foundation, an elementary school was built in Ecuador. These kids did not go to school before Young Living Academy was built. Young Living provides a free meal to all the students daily. To some of the children, it’s the only meal they eat for the entire day. We sponsor a little girl, named Keyla. She is 7 years old. Young Living’s farm has a brick making facility where they create the bricks to build the school. They also sell the bricks to offset the cost of running the farm.
Last, but not least, we had the opportunity to visit Young Living’s farm! They have an entire field called Research Row where they test different plants to see how they grow in Ecuador. They learn if the plant can survive the strong heat and then the heavy rain from January to March. Through their research they learned that Melissa essential oil does not grow well in Ecuador’s climate.
